Chipotle in Cleveland Park Update
For those of you who are not aware, Cleveland Park will be getting a Chipotle restaurant in the former Starbucks / Cereal Bowl location at 3420 Connecticut Ave NW. Reaction from Cleveland Parkers to this addition has varied from apathetic to excited. I can imagine the location will be a huge hit among Uptown Theater attendees. In any event, it’s been a while since we’ve had an update on the new business, so we made an inquiry.
According to the company’s Communications Director, Chris Arnold, the restaurant is still planning an opening in the first half of 2012. Despite us being in mid-January, however according to Arnold, “It’s still a little far off to have a date.” Arnold noted that it’s current looking like “late Q1 or early Q2 (far enough off that things can still change a bit).”
