This Week in Cleveland Park Listserv

One of the best parts of our neighborhood is the small town atmosphere that the Cleveland Park Listserv helps to create. Each Friday we will pull out some (possibly out of context) gems from the Listserv to share with our neighbors and friends. We hope these outtakes of the neighborhood news will get you ready for another great weekend in Cleveland Park!

Pay $50 and advertise them on the listserv…
I am looking for suggestions for places to sell artwork from an office that closed. Any and all suggestions welcome.

Scary…maybe Council should ban coin-operated laundry machines…
There were several robberies and attempted break ins Saturday and Sunday nights on Macomb Street between 34th and Ross Place. One house was entered while residents were sleeping upstairs. The robbers only took cash and a credit card…A car key was taken from one house and used to enter the car to steal a roll of quarters. A key was left in the driveway.

If you lose your cuckoo, the listserv will help you find it…
The cuckoo in our cuckoo clock suddenly does not want to come out anymore. Does anyone know of a skillful clock repair person who could take a look at it?

Our condolences…
I’m looking for some affordable recommendations to move a few large pieces of furniture from Cleveland Park to Van Ness at the end of August.

Yard crashers…
We have a mid-century modern home of brick and vinyl siding. The
siding (and foundation plantings) must go and we’re looking for alternatives that will help modernize the appearance of the house.

New party spot…
Regarding the grassy area behind the Uptown theater and what can be done to maintain it…There is so much broken glass back there, especially directly behind the Uptown Theater and, more recently, in one of the parking spots from a car window that obviously shattered.
