One of the best parts of our neighborhood is the small town atmosphere that the Cleveland Park Listserv helps to create. Each Friday we will pull out some (possibly out of context) gems from the Listserv to share with our neighbors and friends. I was just approached for the second time this summer by a guy in a car, this time at Woodley Road and Cathedral. He starts out, “Excuse me, my daughter’s out at Sibley Hospital…” I last encountered him two months ago near Two Amy’s, so he works our broad neighborhood. He tells a long story about his daughter at Sibley with a rare diagnosis … I’m ashamed to say that I gave him 20 bucks the first time. Fool me once, shame on you. This time I called him a jerk and he drove away.

We are selling a funky easy chair (that has rocking option) with a matching ottoman, all in a red velvet floral motif pattern, for $100. It’s in good shape

I have a 3″ perfectly round hole in my yard that goes straight down about a foot and then turns. I don’t think its a mole because there is no displaced dirt at the entrance. Does anyone else have this kind of creature?
Care to estimate the trade off between being great for kids and young professionals bolting the other way…
I’d like to second that — Dino is a great place for kids. $1 per year of age is a great deal, there are plenty of options, and the staff is very relaxed and cool about having youngsters around.
A mattress does not a bed make…
Does anyone have a double mattress with or without bed they would like to unload?
