This Week in Cleveland Park Listserv

One of the best parts of our neighborhood is the small town atmosphere that the Cleveland Park Listserv helps to create. Each Friday we will pull out some (possibly out of context) gems from the Listserv to share with our neighbors and friends. We hope these outtakes of the neighborhood news will get you ready for another great weekend in Cleveland Park!

There should be some plan – can you imagine spending a decade in those confines?!
Some of the staff at our geriatric Giant have been there for years. Even decades. Are there any plans afoot to say good-by to them?

Last minute benefits of mediocrity…
I was in search of Kosher for Passover ketchup, so I went to Brookville to pick some up. It is still well stocked with just about anything I needed. I couldn’t find any matzoh meal at two Giants, but they had some at Brookville as well.

Very cool…
Donate your wheels to the Bikes for the World! Your bicycles will provide affordable transportation to work, school and health services for individuals in the U.S. and in developing countries. Washington International School, 3100 Macomb Street NW… April 16-20

Serious APB…
Teddy has gone missing. Description: beige, 12 inches tall, in seated position, sturdy, a bow ribbon. Lost on Porter Street near Connecticut Avenue (west of Connecticut) some time Monday afternoon, April 2 (while trying to escape from the “crocodiles”).

Interrupting naps = bad political move…
For the last few days, the robo, and occasional in-person, calls for the DC primary candidates have been incessant. What can I do to stop the flood of calls? Aside from these calls having zero effect on my vote, I resent the intrusion. Even if I don’t answer the call, the ringing interrupts my naps, etc.

For a good time call…
Our condominium board is looking for a trained and qualified minutes-taker for board meetings. No knowledge of condominium operations is required. Please call me for more information.
