Devlog #5: Pre-Beta

Environment Art Planning

With the foundations of our game laid out, we are able to move on to the making the game look great! Our environment artists used place holder assets to give a feel to the game, while also giving us an idea of the workload required. This helped us reach the decision to use handmade assets where possible, and pre-made assets where necessary!

Character and Enemy Work

We've worked on the character more, both visually and mechanically. Players can now go prone, which will play a role in puzzles found at the stations. Additionally, we are wrapping up weapon visuals!

When it comes to enemies, we have begun to work on them. As you can see, they're coming out great! We've also added long range version in the game.

Miscellaneous

Narrative and Dialogue

We have laid out the narrative foundations and "lore" for our game, and have moved on to creating dialogue for the character, PA Systems, and Audio Logs to bring that world to life! We have had around 20 auditions for various roles, and will hopefully have some audio samples to share here shortly!

VFX

More VFX updates! We have a grenade explosion and even more important: The Blackhole! This is what the entire game orbits around, so we are excited with how it came out!

Finalized Logo

We have are final Logo! Now we just need to update everything with it....
